Books
I am a voracious reader. I usually read for ‘escape’ not for education. Especially when my kids were young, ‘escape’ reading was my sanity saver.
The books listed below are the ‘education’ books that have had the biggest impact on my life. They gave me hope, helped me look inward, and gave me tools to use while raising my kids and navigating being single. They were also short and easy to read – something that was critical for me in those years. If it didn’t grab my attention, I wasn’t going to commit to reading it. Every one of these books definitely grabbed my attention. In no particular order, they are:
- Dark Side of the Light Chasers by Debbie Ford
- The Secret of the Shadow: The Power of Owning Your Story by Debbie Ford
- Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting by Lynn Grabbhorn
- I Don’t Have to Make Everything All Better by Gary and Joy Lundberg
- The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
Movies
- What the Bleep Do We Know?
- The Secret
- You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie (Louise Hay)
- The Kid
